CURRENT RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

I am specializing on rural justice in Bangladesh. Hence, both the two research projects I am presently engaged in are on rural justice. First, an academic research:

· To examine the legal and judicial capacity of the rural justice systems in Bangladesh.

·To examine the state of access to justice in rural Bangladesh.

Second, an action research

· To explore how the common people can have better access to justice under the existing rural justice systems in Bangladesh.

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES:

Specifically mentionable is that I have been working closely with the common people of 11 villages under the Kansat Union in Chapainowabgonj district in Bangladesh. The purpose is to explore how the common people can have better access to justice under the existing systems. Another purpose is to empower them with the knowledge of right to information so that they can contribute in rural good governance.
